Artifact
C.W.A. Barwis, Esq. 2/70th Burma Rifles. I found this box in a barn in Proctor, B.C. The barn was built around 1913. I think originally it was the Harrington Fruit Ranch, West Arm, Kootenay Lake. Unfortunately, the lid is missing. I am not sure of the connection to any other Barwis but I thought it might be of interest. I would guess this box might be from WW1. There is a monument to WW1 Veterans in the village of Proctor. I will check to see if there is a Barwis on that. Rbs -
