Captain Lawrence Cannon

He was christened Louis Lucien Laurence Alphonse Cannon, godson of Quebec Superior Court Justice Laurence John Cannon. Son of Justice Lucien Cannon, Superior Court of Quebec, and Anna Margaret Édith Pacaud of Quebec City, Quebec. Husband of Anna Margaret Laurie of Quebec City. Father of Doris Breakey Edith Cannon. Brother of Royal Canadian Air Force aviator Broddy Cannon, who fought in Europe and survived the conflict. Cousin of Captain Arthur F. Cannon, of the AMGOT, who served in Italy, Lieutenant Arthur Ernest Cannon, of the Royal 22e Régiment, who died in Malta on 1 August 1943 of wounds sustained in Sicily on 27 August, and Lieutenant-Colonel Alexander Fitzpatrick Cannon, who became commander of the Régiment de Hull in 1946. His grandson, Lawrence Cannon, became a politician and minister in Stephen Harper's government and Canada's ambassador to France. His widow, Anna Margaret, married Stevenson for the second time in 1945 and had one child, and Allan George Gilroy for the third time in Virginia in 1962, with whom she had one child. She is the sister of Captain John Linton Breakey, who fought in France in the First World War.
