My father almost died at the end of the Second World War. He was freed by the Canadians. He is still alive (87). I work as a doctor in the hospital of Bergen op Zoom. One day, after a heavy shift, I decided to drive to the war memorial to pay my respects. At the late afternoon sun I took this picture. Regards, Harry van Looij -
