Photo of John Evendon Ellwood
Rifleman Ellwood enlisted in the Artillery in 1942 and went to England in June 1944. He remustered to Infantry towards the end of 1944 during the manpower crisis. As a replacement, he came to the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada in Holland and was killed fighting in the Balberger Wald (in Germany). -
