Meredith, Richard Charles - Sergeant. Born 21st April, 1918, at Victoria, B.C. Educated at North Shore College, North Vancouver. Entered the service of the Bank 28th October, 1936. Served at Vancouver city branches, and Vernon and Kamloops, B.C. Enlisted 7th September, 1940, from Kamloops in 5th Canadian Motorcycle Regiment. Transferred to 9th Armoured Regiment, Canadian Armoured Corps, in October, 1941. Sergeant 8th February, 1943. Trained at Camp Borden, Ont. Overseas in October, 1942. Died overseas 19th April, 1943, from multiple injuries sustained in a tank accident while on duty during the spring manoeuvres. <br><i>From a memorial booklet prepared by the Canadian Bank of Commerce.</i>
