Baptized Joseph Charles Guillaume Dollard Bourgoin, he served as Dolord. Son of Joseph Bourgoin and Maria Gendreau from Brownville, New York. Married to Lucienne Laflèche, then separated. Father of Louise Bourgoin.

Enlisted in the Royal Montreal Rifles, he was transferred to the Royal 22e Régiment on 7 July 1940. Considered a deserter, he was discharged on 6 December 1944. He died in hospital of pulmonary tuberculosis.
