Died in a flying accident in a Stranraer at Nanoose Bay while on Operational Patrol Patricia Bay to Prince Rupert. He was posthumously awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal w/clasp, 1939/45 Star and War Medal (1939/45).<br>
Mt. Andrews, a 6600 ft mountain about 150 miles east of Vancouver, BC, was named in his memory.
