Was a cadet in the army from 1930 to 1934 and a reservist with the 2nd Battalion, 49th Edmonton Regiment – ??NPAM – service number 735 replaced by 536644, in Edmonton, Alberta, from August 14, 1940 to April 20, 1941.
Served only in Canada for 641 days. He was accidentally killed in a mid-air collision.
