Son of Lewis Bertram and Margaret Mae (née Bonner) Tims, of Forest Hill, New Brunswick. Husband of Agnes Grace (née Lewis) Tims and father of Linda Helen of Forest Hill, New Brunswick. He was the brother of George Leslie, Charles Albert, William Bertram and Mary Louise. He enlisted at Woodstock, New Brunswick on 14 November 1939, listing his civilian occupation as labourer. He was struck off strength on 22 April 1945 as Medically Unfit.
