Son of Louis Maurice Joseph Allard and Hélène Zélie Marie Joseph Bernard, of Lille, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France. Husband of Françoise Mocaer, of St-Nazaire, France. Father of Jean Maurice and Annie Allard.
On November 27, 1940, he was departing Liverpool, England, with convoy SC-13 when he was caught in a violent storm 200 miles (322 km) east of St. John's, Newfoundland, and sank.
