Son of Edward Leslie and Edith Mary (née Wallace) Banner of North Bay, Ontario. Husband of Dorothy Eugenie (nee O'Neil) and father of Leslie Jane and Stephen Alexander of Trenton, Ontario. He was survived by four sisters.
1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, General Service Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp and Mentioned in Despatches.
