Corporal Doak was originally engaged with the RNWMP as a trumpeter. He was sent to Tree River Detachment to expand the Force’s presence in the Arctic. An inmate got out of his cell, stole a rifle and shot Corporal Doak as he slept. “Doak Court” can be found on Depot grounds.
