Constable Burke was known as “Paddy” Burke and engaged as a Sub. Constable and trumpeter. He took his discharge as “Time Expired” in 1878 and re-engaged in 1879. Constable Burke died in the 1885 Rebellion and was awarded the North West Canada Medal (1885). He had a wife Sarah and six children: Joseph, William, Patrick, James, Mary, and Frederick. He is buried in the Battleford Municipal Cemetery.
