As a thank offering for peace, a new bell was donated and the bell tower constructed. Meanwhile Captain A. Lane presented the base and stem of the lectern Rescued from the shelled ruins of Ypres Cathedral in Belgium, and the Rector, Rev. F.L. Stephenson, who had also gone to the war, the fragments of stained glass from a bombed church in Rheims, France, which are incorporated in the windows to the north and south side of the nave. This memorial is dedicated to Doris H.M. Oldfield.

The congregation of St. Andrew's Anglican Church in Cowichan Station, British Columbia chose as its war memorial a window depicting a crucified Christ flanked by the Virgin Mary and a Roman soldier. This simple image related the suffering of Jesus directly to the suffering of the soldiers; by using the figure of Christ to commemorate the church's fallen, the window admitted the clear parallels between the two.

In the First World War, Rev. Stephenson was seconded as Chaplain to the Canadian Forces, with the 49th Brigade.

This memorial is dedicated to those of the congregation who served their country in the Second World War. It was erected by All Godsen to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.

This memorial is dedicated to those who fought in the war and are resting at the Mountainview Cemetery. It was erected through the efforts of Len and Jean Phillips and donated by the Sands Funeral Chapel and Stewart Monumental Wks. Each November the flag is replaced with a new one.

This cairn was located at the Rotary Memorial Peace Garden & Cenotaph before it was moved to 1st Avenue in front of the post office.

Erected in 1922, this memorial is dedicated to the local war dead of the First and Second World Wars. The memorial was unveiled in January of 1923 at 1st Avenue and Gatacre Street. Since then, the memorial was moved to three different locations. During one of the moves, part of the memorial was broken and was never restored to its original state.

There are 41 First World War soldiers with a Ladysmith connection (born, lived or worked in Ladysmith and district) that are listed on the cenotaph. The list was compiled by the Ladysmith Chronicle and City Hall in the fall of 1922. People were requested to submit names of people they thought should be on the cenotaph. Soldiers listed come from the then City of Ladysmith and the surrounding district which was comprised of the original Oyster District, and included Saltair and Blaineys Crossing to the south of Ladysmith, and Brentons Crossing, North Oyster, Yellow Point, part of Cedar, Cassidy, South Wellington and Extension north of Ladysmith. Some of the war dead from areas north of Ladysmith were well known in Nanaimo as they were in Ladysmith and are on both cenotaphs. The original cenotaph dedicated in early 1923 had 40 names on it. Thomas Day's name was added later and so were the Korean War dates.
