Veterans Affairs Canada and the Canadian War Museum will host a viewing of the documentary Canada Remembers our Heroes: The First Gulf War – The War to Free Kuwait (produced by Thomega Entertainment Inc.). This event honours the contributions and sacrifices of Canadian Armed Forces members during the Gulf War.

The documentary reflects on their courage and resilience. A question and answer period will follow with Canadian Veterans who served in the Gulf War.

United together to honour soldiers of suicide

See the faces of the unremembered in this sunset ceremony at the National Military Cemetery of Canada. Join the families and friends of the soldiers or veterans who gave their lives in service. Unite with us to open the conversation on the stigma of suicide in the military, RCMP and OPS as we share in remembrance. This service will help connect one another through healing and understanding.

Lest we forget.

The annual event is to commemorate the contributions of St. John Ambulance volunteers who served as part of the Voluntary Aide Detachment during both World Wars and to honour the memory of the many brave men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces who fought in subsequent international conflicts and paid the ultimate sacrifice. The event also recognizes CAF members who serve today, at home and abroad.

“To Honour. To Remember. To Never Forget.”

Join us for a solemn and significant Commemoration Ceremony marking the 35th anniversary of the end of the Gulf War, a pivotal international conflict that shaped modern Canadian military history. On March 3, 1991, the Gulf War officially ended following a United Nations-sanctioned coalition effort to liberate Kuwait.
