He was a gunner, service No. L-600310, with the 3rd Searchlight Light Coastal Battery in Vancouver, British Columbia, from July 22 to December 5, 1941, after completing basic training – NRMA – from March 20 to May 20, 1941. He accumulated 112 days of service. He served in Canada and Britain. He died when his bomber crashed during a long range night training flight.
