Location:

Miraumont is a village about 14.5 kilometres north-north-east of Albert and the Cemetery is some 3 kilometres south of the village on the east side of the road to Courcelette (D107). The ADANAC MILITARY CEMETERY is signposted in the centre of Miraumont.

  • Newspaper clipping– From the Vancouver Daily Province March 1917. Submitted for the project Operation Picture Me
  • Circumstances of death registers– Source: Library and Archives Canada. CIRCUMSTANCES OF DEATH REGISTERS, FIRST WORLD WAR. Surnames: Don to Drzewiecki. Microform Sequence 29; Volume Number 31829_B016738. Reference RG150, 1992-93/314, 173. Page 945 of 1076. His grave was located 6 miles North East of Albert and ½ mile North of Courcelette. After the Armistice his body was exhumed and buried in ADANAC MILITARY CEMETERY.
  • Memorial– The Cenotaph at Memorial Park in St. Catharines, Ontario, was dedicated on August 7th, 1927 by the Prince of Wales (future King Edward VIII), and unveiled by Brigadier General W. B. M. King, C.M.G., D.S.O.  The names of St. Catharines men who died as a result of their service during World War I are listed on two bronze tablets located at City Hall.
