Location:

Steenwerck is a village in the Department of the Nord, between Bailleul and Armentieres close to the Belgian border. Le Grand Beaumont is a hamlet at the crossroads nearly 1.5 kilometres west of Steenwerck village, and the LE GRAND BEAUMART BRITISH CEMETERY is a little west of the crossroads.

Microform Sequence 30; Volume Number 31829_B016739. Reference RG150, 1992-93/314, 174. Page 229 of 1062. He was buried at Steenwerck Farm near Steenwerck, 4 ½ miles West of Armentieres, and 1 mile South of Steenwerck. After the Armistice his body was exhumed and buried in LE GRAND BEAUMART BRITISH CEMETERY, STEENWERCK, Nord France.
