John's Hogg's niece, Angela Hewitt, shared this photo of her uncle on 11 Nov 2021 in remembrance. Further to the circumstances of his death, the RCAF Assoc posted the following from their Fallen Aviators section for world war 2.
"HOGG, JOHN MACLEOD F/O(P) J10992. From Perth, Ontario. Killed in Action Apr 12/43 age 22. #32 Squadron (Adeste Cornites). F/O Hogg was killed when Hurricane aircraft #KX 126 crashed in the harbour at Sousse, cause unknown. He was attached to #152 Squadron at the time of his death. Flying Officer Pilot Hogg is buried in the Enfidaville War Cemetery, Tunisia, North Africa."

This outdoor plaque is located at the “Old Vic” building, part of Victoria University in the University of Toronto. The decorative motif at the top shows the Victoria University crest, with motto in Latin: “ABEUNT STUDIA IN MORES”. The plaque is inscribed: “THEY WERE VALIANT IN LIFE TRIUMPHANT IN DEATH. ERECTED TO THE MEMORY OF THE STUDENTS OF THIS COLLEGE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1939-1945. THIS TABLET WAS ERECTED BY THE BOARD OF REGENTS AND DEDICATED OCTOBER 13TH, 1953”. ENFIDAVILLE WAR CEMETERY Tunisia
The town of Enfidaville is 100 kilometres south of Tunis on the main coast road. The ENFIDAVILLE WAR CEMETERY is 1 kilometre west of the town centre, on the road to Zaghovan, and its approaches are well signposted. It is immediately south of the small civil cemetery.
