Location:

EL ALIA Cemetery lies 13 kilometres south-east of Algiers on the road to El Harrash and is situated within a large civilian cemetery. The cemetery gates are never locked and access is available at all times. It is regretted that it is not possible to keep a copy of the register in this cemetery. Assistance may be obtained from staff when they are present and a copy of the register is available for consultation in the toolshed.

  • Photo of Reginald Gordon Carter– Reginald was a member of the RAF Volunteer Reserve like Douglas Munroe Grant who is also commemorated on this site. Reginald was a member of the 608 Squadron while Douglas was with the 103 Squadron. Both men died within exactly one month of each other. Both were 21 years of age.
