Raymond was born in Massey, Ont. on 15 Sept 1917. He was conscripted in Feb. 1943 while living in Quebec and was shipped to England in Jan. 1945. Raymond reached the front lines in Europe in March 1945 - only to be killed on 8 April 1945 (not the 6th as recorded by the army) during the liberation of the Dutch town of Holten. -
