Son of George Bertram and McDonald of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Brother of Orral James of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Beth of Winnipeg, Manitoba and Mrs. Margaret James of McDonald, Manitoba. Grandson of Mrs. Jessie MacKay of Clandeboye, Manitoba. Pilot Officer McDonald won the Governor General's Medal for the Province of Saskatchewan for his standings in Grade 12 final exams for the province.

Location:

GOSSELIES COMMUNAL CEMETERY is located 5 km north of Charleroi. Taking the E42 from Mons in the direction of Liege then exit at Gosselies onto the N5 towards Charleroi. 2 Km after this junction lies the third right hand turning towards Brussels. After taking this turning the next right hand turning leads onto the Chaussee de Fleurus, with the cemetery located 50 metres along this road on the left hand side. Visitors should note that this site is restricted to normal cemetery opening hours.
