MacMaster, John Glenn - Flying Officer. Born 27th April, 1922, at Port Perry, Ont. Educated at Port Perry. Entered the service of the Bank 4th July, 1938. Served at Port Perry. Enlisted 5th April, 1941, from that branch in R.C.A.F, Pilot Officer 1st December, 1941; Flying Officer in October, 1942. Trained at Toronto, Picton, Ont., Victoriaville, Que., Stanley and Moncton, N.B.; Charlottetown, P.E.I., and Pennfield Ridge, N.B. Posted to seaplane base at Dartmouth, N.S., in March, 1942. Transferred to Botwood, Nfld., and later to Shelburne, N.S., with Coastal Command. Killed in a crash landing near Halifax 9th December, 1942. (Flying Officer MacMaster was a championship hockey player and yachtsman). <br><i>From a memorial booklet prepared by the Canadian Bank of Commerce.</i>
