  • Photo of Edmund William Russell– Rifleman Russell enlisted in The Queen's Own Rifles upon the unit's mobilization in June, 1940. He served with the Regt in Newfoundland and New Brunswick in Charlie Coy (OC's batman) but was returned to the Reserve Battalion in Toronto as medically unfit when the QOR departed for England.
