Harold Claude Ward, age 21, was killed on August 23, 1943, at 42 OTU, Ashbourne, when the Whitley aircraft (T4339), in which he was wireless air-gunner, crashed in the River Seven, at Gold Cliffe, South-East of Newport, England. He is buried in the Old Cemetery, Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England.
