Son of Harry J. Kelley and Helen V. (née O'Malley) Kelley, of Westmount, Quebec. Flight Sergeant Kelley attended Loyola High School and McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He served overseas from 23 August 1941 until his death. On his attestation papers he stated he was single and was a chemist at the Dominion Steel and Coal Corporation in Sydney, Nova Scotia. He enjoyed football, hockey and track. He was a cadet of Loyola High School Canadian Officers Training Corps (COTC) from 1933-1936 as well as a cadet with the COTC program while attending McGill University from 1939-1940. 2003. Flight Sergeant Kelley was honoured in a memorial service on 21 August 2003 when Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal unveiled a memorial to commemorate those who lost their lives in accidents in the Cairngorm Mountains, Scotland. Its centre piece is an engine from the Wellington Bomber, which was based on RAF Lossiemouth and disappeared in bad weather on 19 January 1942.
