Memorial – Pilot Officer GERALD HENRY ARMSTRONG is one of 21 men commemorated on this plaque placed In Loving Memory of the Men of St Lukes Parish who gave their lives in the World War II, in St Luke’s Anglican Church, Ottawa, Ontario. He died on December 4, 1943 and is buried in BERGEN GENERAL CEMETERY Netherlands

Cause of loss and crash-site not established. 431 Sqdn lost four of their aircraft on this operation. The following crew are buried in Bergen General Cemetery: F/S F.A.Long, age 20, RAF; Sgt G.Heider, age 23, RCAF; F/S R.R.Steven, age 22, RAF; Sgt G.F.Brown, RAF; Sgt W.C.Burley, RAF; P/O G.H.Armstrong, age 19, RCAF; Sgt J.G.L'Argent, age 29, RAF.
