King's Commendation For Valuable Service in the Air which is awarded for 'gallantry or for meritorious service while in the air on the part of civilians or members of the military forces, whether in war or peace where the action did not merit the award of the Air Force Cross or Air Force Medal'. London Gazette No. 36309 dated 1 January 1944. 1939-45 Star, Africa Star, War Medal 1939-45, Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. Posthumously awarded RCAF Operational Wings in recognition of gallant service in action against the enemy, the 9 December 1946.

Amersfoort is a town lying 50 kilometres south-east of Amsterdam, and 22 kilometres north-east of Utrecht. The Amersfoort (Oud Leusden) General Cemetery is about 2.5 kilometres from the railway station, in an area known as Oud Leusden. The graves are in a special plot, well sited among trees.
