George Dunkelman was born November 19, 1923 in Midland. He joined the RCAF on February 8, 1943. After training, he arrived in England February 8, 1944. His Lancaster bomber was shot down over Holland November 6, 1944. He was promoted to Pilot Officer posthumously.
