Details of the crash from //lostbombers.co.uk
F/S White was Air Gunner on Halifax HR864 in 405 Sqdn.  The aircraft was airborne 2146 25 Jul 43 from Gransden Lodge. Outbound, shot down by a night-fighter crashing 12 km NE of Groningen, Holland. Those killed are buried in Ten Boer Protestant Cemetery. They are: F/O (P) M. E. Tomczak, age 23, from Saskatoon, SK; F/O (N) A. P. McCracken, age 21, from Outremont, P.Q;  Sgt (WAG) C. J. V. Kettley, age 23, from Mission City, B. C; Sgt (AG) E. K. White, age 21, F/S (AG) M. S. Smyth, age 25, from Strasbourg, SK; and RAF Sgt A. J. Wood.  F/O A. J. Sochowski from Woolsely, SK, was taken PoW.
