  • Photo of Robert Lyon Miln– Miln, Robert Lyon - Leading Aircraftman, Born 27th December, 1910, in Scotland. Educated at Public and High Schools, Beamsville, Ont. Entered the service of the Bank 2nd August, 1927. Served at branches in Ontario, Foreign Department (Head Office) and New York Agency. Enlisted 7th December, 1940, from New York in R.C.A.F. Trained at Toronto, Picton and Mount Hope, Ont., and Portage La Prairie, Manitoba.  Died 3rd July, 1941, from injuries received in a plane crash at Portage La Prairie Elementary Flying Training School. From a memorial booklet prepared by the Canadian Bank of Commerce.

  • Memorial– A stained glass window was erected at Trinity United Church, 4287 William Street, Beamsville, ON. This stained glass window depicting an Honour Roll, is dedicated to those veterans listed, lost during the First and Second World Wars. This memorial was unveiled in the 1940s.
