  • Photo of William Veale– Veale, William Henry - Private. Born 17th July, 1922, at Lachine, Que.  Entered the service of the Bank 7th July, 1937. Served at branches in Ontario. Enlisted 20th July, 1942, from Woodville in Canadian Dental Corps. Attached R.C.A.F. Overseas in December, 1944. Stationed with R.C.A.F. at Bournemouth. Admitted to 23rd Canadian General Hospital 22nd March, 1945.  Invalided to Canada in May, 1945.  Died in Chorley Park Military Hospital, Toronto, 7th June, 1945.  Private Veale was a son of Mr. A. L. Veale, Manager of the Bank at Uxbridge, Ont. From a memorial booklet prepared by the Canadian Bank of Commerce.
