  • Photo of Edward Alexander Andrewes– Ted Andrewes was born in Bethesda Hospital, London, on March 16, 1921, son of Archibald Alexander and Alice Evelyn Andrews. He attended Riverview
Public School and Central Collegiate. He
was a member of the Salvation Army and played in the citadel band. He joined the RCAF in 1940 and served on RCAF
Stations at Jarvis, Toronto and Trenton, Ontario and Sea Island, British Columbia. On August 6, 1944
he married Margaret MacFalane MacGregor. He died on June 28,
1945 in Vancouver General Hospital of natural causes and is buried
in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London.
