Son of Albert Henry Causier and Florence Elizabeth Russell, of Regina, Saskatchewan.

Albert was wounded in action during the Battle of the Somme, France, on September 15, 1916, while serving with the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry.

Served in Canada and Great Britain. He had 487 days of service, including 149 overseas.

Location:

Startford-Upon-Avon Cemetery contains 22 First World War burials, made mainly from the hospital at Clopton House. During the Second World War, there was a contingent of the Royal Canadian Air Force based at nearby Wellesboune Mountford and of the 137 Second World War burials (most of them forming a war graves plot), 97 are of Canadian airmen. The cemetery also contains 15 war graves of other nationalities.

Left for England 1 week later and was immediately assigned to the RAF as a rear air gunner on Wellington Bomber.
Died Dec. 14, 1942 in air crash back in England.
