Location:

HOTTON WAR CEMETERY is located 58 km south east of Namur. From Namur the N4 leads onto the town of Marche-en-Famenne. From Marche-en-Famenne, the N86 leads towards Hotton. On reaching Hotton, the cemetery is located 500 metres on the N86 towards Menil.

  • Photo of Kenneth Freeland Sage– Enlisted October 1939, and trained as a Pilot. He served with #135 Squadron in British Columbia. When posted to England, he flew with #439 City of Westmount Squadron. While based in Holland he was ordered to attack fortified positions ahead of the advancing armies. On December 24, 1944 his Typhoon fighter-bomber was hit by anti-aircraft fire and crashed.
