  • Document– This was the inside cover of the West Philadelphia High School  1939 yearbook. Elmer Aaron created this ironically poignant work as part of the yearbook staff. Elmer wanted to become an artist and had his life taken trying to protect the free world. Several of his beloved 1939 classmates suffered the same tragic fate as Elmer. Elmer was a true hero.
