Son of John J. and Mary M. Casey (1953 National Memorial (Silver) Cross Mother), of Ottawa, Ontario.

Brother of John Joseph Casey who was killed in action on March 31, 1945 while serving with the Royal Canadian Air Force.

He was a private with the 9th Detachment of the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps in Ottawa, Ontario, service number C-93007. He was promoted to corporal on January 15, 1940. He has accumulated 343 days of service.

Served in Canada and Great Britain. He had 1,038 days of service, including 392 overseas.
