Location:

Ranville is best reached by taking the D513 north-eastwards out of Caen, and after about 9 kilometres turning left at Herouvillette. Go north for one kilometre and then turn left into Ranville village. The War Cemetery is on Rue des Airbornes.

  • Memorial Cairn– Memorial Cairn commemorating Flight Lieutenant W.W.L Brown of the Royal Canadian Air Force.  Brown Lake was named after him and it was dedicated to him on July 24, 2003. The name of this lake was bestowed by the Canadian Permanent Committee on Geographical Names (now the Geographical Names Board of Canada).  The Memorial Cairns Project was conducted by the Airman's Memorial Cairns Committee, Royal Canadian Legion, McGrane Branch No 28, Lac La Biche, Alberta.
