Gray, John Samuel Willis - Leading Aircraftman. Born 23rd June, 1921, at Elfros, Sask. Educated at Elfros and Ituna Public Schools, Nokomis High School and Weyburn Collegiate Institute. Entered the service of the Bank 16th August, 1940. Served at Weyburn, Sask. Enlisted 23rd October, 1940, from that branch in R.C.A.F. Trained at Brandon and Dauphin, Man., Regina and Prince Albert, Sask., Calgary, Alta., and Trenton, Guelph and Jarvis, Ontario. Killed in air crash at No.1 Bombing and Gunnery School, Jarris, 9th December, 1941. Leading Aircraftman Gray was a son of Mr. W. J. Gray, Manager of the Bank at Fort Frances, Ontario. <br><i>From a memorial booklet prepared by the Canadian Bank of Commerce.</i>
