Son of Frederick Reginald and Violet Ethel Maffre, of Outremont, Quebec. Brother of Flying Officer Kenneth Reginald Maffre, who died on February 18, 1943, while serving with the Royal Canadian Air Force.

MAASTRICHT GENERAL CEMETERY Netherlands
Maastricht is a large town on the River Maas, close to the Belgian frontier, 40 kilometres north of Liege in Belgium. The MAASTRICHT GENERAL CEMETERY is some 3 kilometres south-west of the town on the west side of the road to Tongres, in Belgium. The war graves are in an extension on the north-east side of the cemetery.
