Sains-en-Gohelle is a mining village 20 kilometres north of Arras on the road to Bethune. Fosse No.10 is a pithead and group of miners' houses south of the village.

  • Newspaper Clipping– Gnr. Clifford Emmons Armstrong enlisted in Toronto in August 1915.  His brother, Pte. Sidney Herbert Armstrong, 55072, 19th Battalion, enlisted in Toronto in February 1915.  He died April 8th, 1916. The Armstrong brothers were born in Toronto.  In honoured memory.
