Location:

Dernancourt is a village in the Department of the Somme, 3 kilometres south of Albert. The DERNANCOURT COMMUNAL CEMETERY is a little west of the village, and the EXTENSION is on the north-west side of the Communal Cemetery.

  • Circumstances of Death Registers– Circumstances of Death Register: This soldier was wounded during the Military Operations in the vicinity of Courcelette on September 15, 1916. He was attended to and taken to a Dressing Station and subsequently evacuated to No. 1 Casualty Clearing Station where he succumbed to his wounds the following day. No details are available as to the actual circumstances under which he received the wounds which caused his death.
