  • Grave Marker– Grave of 961 Sapper William W. Sayer who served with the Canadian Engneers C.E.F.  Born in the town of Tunstall in North Staffordshire England on Aug. 13th 1874.  Husband of Martha Sayer(Died 1915) of Grand Forks BC.  William enlisted into the C.E.F. at Victoria BC on Nov. 5th 1914 listing prior military service of 12 years with the North Staffordshire Regt. Serving in South Africa 1899-1902, he listed his occupation as "Rancher"  William died on Dec. 19th 1915 at the age of 41.  He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
