  • Grave Marker– Grave of 51009 Pvt. Alfred Frank Burke who served in the Canadian Army Medical Corps C.E.F.  Born in Burmingham England on July 22nd 1877.
He listed himself as a widower when he enlisted into the C.E.F. at Victoria BC on Feb. 5th 1915, he listed prior military service of 1 year in the Royal Navy and 5 years in the Royal Field Artillery.  He listed his occupation as "Steel worker"  Alfred died at Vancouver BC of the Spanish flu on March 4th 1919 at the age of 41.  He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
