  • Grave Marker– Grave of 2138793 Pvt. Albert Edward Candler who served with the 7th Battn. C.E.F.  Born in the town of Maidstone of Kent England on April 9th 1892.  Husband of Jean R. Candler of West Vancouver BC.  Albert enlisted into the 2nd Depot Battn. at Victoria BC on Jan. 28th 1918 he listed his occupation as "Ships Steward"  Albert died Oct. 16th 1918 at the age of 26 of the Spanish Flu during the great panademic of 1918-19.  He was laid to rest in the Mountain View Cemetery of Vancouver BC.
