He was living in San Francisco CA. at the time he enlisted into the C.E.F. at Vancouver BC on Aug. 28th 1918 listing his occupation as "Clerk & Cook"  Thomas died at Vancouver BC on Jan. 27th 1921 at the age of 40.  He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
