George enlisted into the C.E.F. at Camp Vernon BC on Aug. 24th 1915.  He listed prior military service  12 Years with the Cameron Highlanders (Imp) 3 Years with the Royal North West Mounted Police (RCMP Today) 3 Years with the New South Wales Imperial Bushmen (Boer War) he listed himself as a Widower and his occupation as "Logger"  George died at Vancouver BC on Sept. 9th 1919 at the age of 50. He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC
