Born in County Kildare Ireland on Oct. 12th 1884.  Husband of Edith E. Maher of Hounslow England. James enlisted into the C.E.F. at Victoria BC on Sept. 27th 1915 listing his occupation as "Marine Fireman" James died at Vancouver BC on June 18th 1919 at the age of 31 during the great Spanish flu panademic.  He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
