Born in Portage La Prairie Manitoba on April 15th 1895. Richard enlisted into the C.E.F. at Vancouver BC on Oct. 10th 1916 listing his occupation as "Clerk"  Richard died at Vancouver BC on Jan. 7th 1921 at the age of 25.  He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
