Son of Simeon Myers, of Morewood, Ontario. Husband of Eva Gladys Myers, of South Porcupine, Ontario. He was the former principal of South Porcupine Public School. He had former active service with the 97th Regiment Canadian Militia. He was discharged as medically unfit on 25 February 1919.
